Alexis Venter
Director of Acting / Director of ModellingAlexis is a dynamic creative professional whose journey across modelling, acting, and performance is rooted in discipline, passion, and a deep commitment to personal growth. Her creative path began at the young age of four through dance, where she first discovered a love for movement, storytelling, and self-expression—elements that would later define her career across both the modelling and performing arts industries.
In 2017, Alexis formally began her modelling journey, where a passion quickly transformed into a disciplined pursuit of excellence. She invested extensively in her professional development, completing specialised training in runway walking, makeup artistry, professional interviewing, and image presentation. These experiences built a strong foundation of confidence, professionalism, and stage presence, enabling her to thrive in a highly competitive industry. For Alexis, modelling has never been about appearance alone—it is about confidence, self-awareness, presence, and the ability to command attention with authenticity and grace.
This philosophy guided her through numerous competitions, public appearances, and charity events, including her crowning achievement of winning the title Miss Heritage Mpumalanga. The title recognised not only her talent, but also her leadership, cultural pride, and dedication to excellence. Alongside competitive modelling, Alexis expanded her portfolio through collaborations with various companies in advertising and promotional campaigns, most notably Touch of Gold, where she demonstrated versatility and the ability to represent brands with confidence and impact.
During her teenage years, a turning point came after an ankle injury in Grade 8, which led Alexis to discover her true calling in drama. At just 15 years old, her talent was recognised when she was scouted at a competition and awarded a scholarship to study dramatic arts. She went on to achieve her NQF Level 4 qualification in performance, marking the beginning of a flourishing acting career. Since then, Alexis has starred in five short films and a music video through Speeltoneel, performing alongside some of South Africa’s most respected actors. Her achievements include national recognition and titles such as Most Creative Monologue, Best Senior Actor, and being named among South Africa’s Top 10 performers.
Through years of consistent dedication, resilience, and creative exploration, Alexis has evolved into a well-rounded leader with a deep understanding of performance from both a commercial and artistic perspective. Today, she proudly serves as Director of Modelling and Director of Acting at Belong Talent Academy, where she mentors and inspires emerging talent to build confidence, refine their presence, and embrace both stage and camera with purpose and authenticity.
Guided by her personal motto, “If you don’t try, you’ll never know,” Alexis continues to empower the next generation of performers—encouraging them to step boldly into their potential, trust their individuality, and pursue excellence without fear.
United in faith and purpose, our leadership team is dedicated to guiding every student to grow, shine, and belong — just as God designed them to.
